Peter James is a probate and estate planning attorney serving Comal and Guadalupe counties.
His work includes wills and trusts, probate of wills, intestate estates, independent and dependent administrations, affidavits of heirship, guardianship, and real estate matters. He also has experience handling civil litigation.
Peter grew up in Richmond, Texas, and attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice and Philosophy. He later attended Baylor Law School in Waco before moving to New Braunfels.
Outside the office, Peter spends his time with his family and volunteering in the community. He has served on the New Braunfels Jaycees Board of Directors and the Comal County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. He has also served as president of Comal County Habitat for Humanity and compliance chair for United Way of Comal and Guadalupe County.
Peter helps families prepare estate planning documents by learning about their circumstances and what they want their plans to accomplish. He also works with families going through probate, explaining the process and addressing the legal steps involved in settling an estate after the loss of a loved one.
You may be preparing your estate planning documents, updating an existing plan, or settling an estate after someone has passed away. Contact James & Newberry to share what brought you here and discuss whether Peter may be able to assist.
